How to Play
Find the Imposter in 6 simple steps. No app download, no signup — just fun.
1. Add Players
Enter 3-10 player names. You only need one phone — pass it around the group. No signup or accounts needed.
2. See Your Word
Each player privately sees a secret word on the phone. But one player — the imposter — gets a different word or no word at all! They see "You are the IMPOSTER!"
3. Discuss
Take turns describing your word without saying it directly. The imposter must bluff and pretend they know the word. A timer keeps things moving.
4. Vote
After discussion, each player privately votes on who they think is the imposter. Pass the phone around for secret voting.
5. Reveal
The votes are tallied and the imposter is revealed! If the group catches the imposter, they score points. If the imposter fools everyone, they score big!
6. Share & Play Again
Share your results on Instagram, WhatsApp, or anywhere. Then play another round with a new category!
Pro Tips
- •If you're the imposter, be vague but not TOO vague — match the energy of real players.
- •Ask follow-up questions! This puts pressure on the imposter to reveal their bluff.
- •Try Hard Mode for a challenge — the imposter gets a similar word instead of no word.
- •Play multiple rounds with different categories to keep it fresh!
